Import Email Accounts and Email Forwarders
Step 1: Select what you would like to import.
| Email Accounts or |
Forwarders |
Step 2: Upload the .csv or .xls file from your computer. cPanel will try to identify the data in the file (for example, which column contains the email addresses, the passwords, etc.). You will be able to check the accuracy of the data categories.
In .csv files, categories may be separated with a comma or other delimiter. For example, the list may contain the following lines:
| email |
domain |
password |
quota |
| johndoe@cpanel.net |
example.com |
123pass |
250 |
The categories (email, domain, etc.) may appear in any order.
All categories are optional except the email username (for importing email accounts), and the source and target addresses (for importing forwarders).
The email category (for adding email accounts), and the source and target categories (for adding forwarders) may contain either usernames or complete email addresses. If they contain email addresses, domains not associated with your account will be removed and replaced by the domain you specify.
If unnecessary columns appear, you will be able to tell cPanel to ignore them.
Quotas should be entered in Megabytes.
Step 3: Select the delimiter used in the list:
| Comma (,) | Space | Semi colon (;) | Tab | Other |
Import the first row of the document, treating its contents as the headers for each column.
