These features use Exim's content-scanning capability (formerly Exiscan) to reject spam and viruses at the gateway, during the SMTP dialog, which has many benefits compared to traditional filtering methods. If you want to enable the features but need to whitelist a few senders or mail servers, or if you require other custom settings, please contact the server administrator. Please allow 1 hour for any changes to go into effect.
This setting uses "RBL" blacklists and SpamAssassin to block most spam during the SMTP dialog. The Aggressive setting blocks all suspected spam at the gateway. The Default setting allows some lower-scoring suspected spam to be delivered to your mailbox, tagged [SPAM] in the subject line. If Aggressive or Default spam blocking is enabled, your mail headers will include X-Exiscan-SA information which can be used for content filtering. Click here for more information.
